Basic Fire Pit setting up machinery is shown in the design. The number of 6" pipe nipples will vary with the size of the ring as well as the couplings necessary to screw the pipe nipples as one. The center plug of the fire ring is reversible from the top to the bottom, depending on whether you want the holes of the fire ring opposite up or down.
We advocate up for the best flame effect. In the figure, the opening for the built in stainless steel grill gas association is facing down. Only remove the plug and re-install it on the bottom of the ring. You MUST use Teflon tape or a pipe sealing complex on all threaded relations. All installations must be conventional to local codes.
Once you have resolute on the size of the ring you will use, you will then need to conclude the number of pipe nipples and couplings you will need. For example, a 36" fire ring would possible need three 6" nipples and two couplings, which would give you just about 20" of horizontal length from the center of the fire ring to the exterior of your fire pit. If you have a thicker fire pit wall, just add a different 6" nipple.
Then, you would add one more 6" nipple to go erect to the bottom of the square fire rings and an ell to make the 90 degree turn. All that you would need to add is the valve, which includes the projection and key for process. You have all of the machinery to test the fire ring to the outside for your built in grills for gas association.
It is not only uncomplicated, but, reasonable. The total purchase, with pipe, fittings and valve (as seen in the illustration) 3- 6" nipples, 1 coupling, 1 ell and 1 valve is just $35.28. The fire ring, of course, is additional.
